Daron Norwood Bio

Daron Norwood is back touring Texas. The Texas Country Music Artist is presenting his Tribute to the Legends being true to his roots; as well as bringing to the stage his big hits, and new music that is being prepared for his upcoming album to be recorded soon.

Daron Norwood has had several major hits on radio and music charts and has worked with some of the biggest names in Country Music; Travis Tritt, Alabama, Kenny Chesney, Mark Chesnut, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Merle Haggard, George Jones and others. He has performed on the Grand Ole Opry as well as touring most of the United States. In 2004, Daron Norwood was nominated for 5 awards, and was honored with the Song of the Year by the Inspirational Country Music Association with the song, “In God We Trust.”

Norwood recorded “You’d Be Home By Now” for the movie soundtrack “A Thing Called Love” starring River Phoenix and Sanda Bullock. He also co-wrote and recorded “Little Boy Lost” for the Keit Whitley tribute album that went Platinum. In 2010, Daron Norwood released his latest video “Take Me Back”

Daron Norwood joined a host of other writers in a tribute to Randy Tupin in Amarillo presented by Texas Music for Life in October 2011. One of 18 writers and a stage full of guest artist put on a non-stop 5 hour show. TMFL is a non-profit organization whose primary mission is to assist Texas musicians who are facing major medical-related financial hardships.

Daron Norwood is now in the process of writing and choosing his songs for the Texas Country Debut album; 2 New CDs are available at his concerts.
